Casting Technology

A key success factor for producing flawless cast parts is to use the right casting technology. Know-how and many years of experience are required, e.g. for the conception of ingot system and the positioning of feeders, casting reinforcements and cooling plates.

Mould filling, solidification and stress of the cast parts are all simulated on a computer program. Another module calculates the process cycle – casting temperature and casting time – in which the afore-mentioned results can be realized. The calculation times for a complete simulation can be in the range of several days.

The outcome is a sophisiticated casting technique in which the parts are produced according to the specified quality requirements.
